Owning your own Leisure Home

Are there any catches?    No absolutely not.  we are family owned and managed and have been here for over 40 years. We do not know if the lifestyle will suit you, but we are happy to have an informal discussion and explain everything in detail. If you decide that it sounds right for you we will be happy to show you around the park when you can look out our wide selection of show homes. We know that you will fall in love with Homestead Lake Country Park  and we promise you many happy years here with us.

Do we have to pay the whole price immediately?    No! we are happy to take a small deposit to secure your lodge or base. We would usually expect the balance to 10% of the purchase price within 20 days, with the final instalment to be paid when you move in. It couldn't be simpler.

Can we pass the lodge on to Family?    Yes, the lodge is your property and you can give it to direct family whenever you wish at no extra cost. When you purchase, you are given a licence for the base on which the lodge is sited for 40 years. If you wish to transfer it, you simply let us know. (as you would expect, we reserve the right to approve your beneficiaries, to ensure that they will not upset your neighbours).

Do lodges lose money?    Most lodges are built to a residential standard and  to a far higher quality than caravans which can depreciate considerably. Although, as with houses, there is no guarantee of increased value, lodges have proved to retain their value exceptionally well.

Can we have a phone line?    Yes, all our lodges come equipped with phone lines and have broadband capability

Why do people buy lodges here?     Most of our owners have benefitted from the dramatic increase in house prices over the past years and chose to realise, and enjoy, their equity. Downsizing a house or buying a residential park home are relatively expensive and attract high running costs which are hard to replace on a pension. Our lodges give people like yourselves all the advantages (as long as you are aware of the restrictions) at a fraction of the cost. In addition our owners benefit from stunning surroundings and like minded, friendly, neighbours.

Can we live here permanently?    Our season runs from March 1st to January 16th during this period you are welcome to stay on park, though you cannot use this as a permanent address.

Why cant we live here permanently?   We are a holiday park and not licensed for 12 months use, our license expressly forbids anyone to stay on park during our close season. Your lodge is the ideal escape, giving you a luxury environment, peace, quiet and independance at a fraction of the  cost of your own house. In adition, you wont have to worry about property maintenance, grass cutting and more importantly, security.

What do owners do in this period?     Many choose to spend this time with family, travel abroad to take advantage of low cost, long stay holidays, or travel in the UK. Whatever they do, they all seem to arrive back relaxed and refreshed on the 1st March.
